Hello 2025

Hello 2025 Back to Blogs I would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Prosperous New Year! Unfortunately, my first 10 days of 2025 were spent mostly in bed recovering from the latest viral infections doing the rounds in China that I must have contracted on my Qingdao trip. But at least it is now out of the way, and hopefully I will be OK to celebrate the Chinese New Year Spring Festival in one of China's ancient capitals. 2025 in China is the year of the Snake, so I plan to take some photographs of said reptiles as a themed project, watch this space for more details. Grassington, UK

Grassington, UK Grassington, like Allerford are within walking distance of each other. The weather on this particular walk was not very cooperative, it was very gray, foggy, with a little drizzle. But still, it is a beautiful part of England. These images were shot with a Fujifilm S2 Pro DSLR. Again, not the highest resolution due to the fact being based in China I do not have access to the higher resolution shots, I only brought the web version with me....

Overstrand, UK My ex-in-laws retired to Overstrand back in the 90's that prompted us to buy a holiday home close to where they lived. I was travelling a lot in Europe at the time, and it was nice to have a place close to a support network for the family. Allerford, UK Allerford, is located in the county of Somerset in the south east of England. The village is part of the UK National Trust Foundation, and is located close to Dartmoor. My friends, Linda and Brian own the Pack Horse Holiday Apartments, and this is a super area to visit with many picturesque villages and hiking trails. Legend has it that Robin Hood use to ride his horse in Allerford Woods. The brook that flows through the village lies on a Lay Line, which is suppose to exude a positive energy field.
